We found, long ago, that transforming people's thinking with new ideas and perspectives was an exciting but, often, fruitless exercise - unless we then equipped them with the skills and knowledge they required to apply their new thinking.
We also found that our experience and background enabled us to train business people in a wide range of skills and knowledge - but without the inspiration of transformational thinking to energize them, and without the coaching they needed to correct and perfect their early application of those skills and knowledge, the end result was less than ideal.
And we found that if we attempted to coach without first understanding the wellspring of our clients' passions and then harnessing those passions to new resourceful ways of thinking about old unresourceful challenges, our coaching results were, again, less than ideal.
And then we twigged: There was a relationship between the parts, between "transforming thinking", "training skills & knowledge" and "coaching for performance & results". They were like three waves that together produced spectacular results.
They were like "ripples on a pond."
Understanding the ripple effect gave us insights into how to tie the three elements of transformation, training and coaching into a powerful whole that we now use to produce results like no other approach we have ever seen.
