We Start by Measuring the Profit You're Losing
Our first step in assessing a business to see whether it is appropriate to apply our business improvement processes, is to conduct a ProfiTune Business Analysis (or BA) which provides an accurate assessment of the "unrealized profit potential" of the business in its present format.
From the moment that our Clients begin answering its-sometimes-unsettling (some say “quirky”) questions, of a Business Analysis Questionnaire they begin to see where their business is currently leaking profits, and, even at this early stage, how they might begin the process of stopping those leaks.
Such is the power of “the right question”.
The Business Analysis – or BA as we know it – starts with a 50 page questionnaire that plumbs the depths of both the business, and the depths of the owner or manager’s relationship with it. Around 60% of its questions are of a type that our Clients can typically answer “off the top of their head, sitting at their kitchen table”, while the balance require reference to their accounting systems or databases.
Market Research
While our Client is completing their part of the BA, we are carrying out our unique Market Research with a nominated selection of their Customers and Suppliers in order to gain “an X-ray view of their business as it is viewed from the outside”.
Suppliers are motivated to assist our research because they see an improvement in our client's business as a potential for growth in their consumption of their products, and suppliers often provide a uniquely informed perspective on our client's business. After all, they see it in the context of its wider marketplace and its competition, and we gain valuable insights into how we can begin the process of performance improvement from discussions in this quarter.
Customers are similarly motivated to provide quality feedback because, at the end of the day, all of us want our service and product providers to be in a position to offer us better goods and services.
Sophisticated Technical Analysis
All of this data is then entered via the internet, through a sophisticated on-line program of our design which produces a “raw’ BA Report which is then assessed by a team of senior Business Analysts for the types of insights that only a hundred years of business experience can extract.
Business Analysis Report
Finally a Business Analysis Report is prepared for interpretation to our Client by their accredited BIS. We arrange an appointment with our client and spend between one and two hours going through the details of their answers and of the reports findings until our client has a crystal clear appreciation of both the potential areas for improvement and of the strategies tailored to each area that are a key part of the BA Report.
In the simplest of terms, the Business Analysis Report tells out clients how they can begin the process of improving their performance and it also offers an objective measure of their suitability for the next level of business improvement services that we offer - those of training and coaching.
What Happens Next?
If the BA literally indicates sufficient profit improvement potential exists to self-fund on-going training or coaching, we may make a recommendation that our client proceed on one of those paths. As a general rule, we will not offer these higher level services unless they would result in a net gain in revenue by our client even after our fees are taken into account.

Money Back Guarantee
The Business Analysis carries this unique Guarantee:
"If your Business Analysis fails to identify unrealized profit potential of at least ten times your investment in it, we will refund your entire investment and deliver and interpret your Business Analysis Report for nothing!"
